The Sony Honami is quickly becoming the new most-leaked smartphone before its official announcement since the LG G2, but today?s news suggests it might actually be coming sooner than we expected. The news in question is a FCC filing spotted by Tech Kiddy, which suggests that the information in the filing should remain confidential till the 30th of September before ?formal market launch?. I don?t speak FCC, but this very much suggests that the Sony Honami could be seeing the light of day as early as the end of September or early October.
Next on the list of leaks is a number of leaked pictures from Gadget Helpline which poses the new Honami next to its predecessor, the Xperia Z. Although they have the same screen-size, the 5-inch Honami is slightly bigger, though slightly thinner than the Xperia Z, which might concern some people who think the 5-inch barrier is as big as they?ll go.
With all these leaks and what look to be almost production-ready samples of the Honami just waltzing around, you?d think Sony would have an announcement to make very soon, but as Sony has been handling their announcements quite well post-breakfast, we can only assume they know what they?re doing.
Do you think the Sony Honami will really be released at the end of September? And what are your thoughts on the device itself. Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
