LONDON (Reuters) - Egypt's armed forces will issue a statement shortly, state television reported on Tuesday.
The military ousted elected President Mohamed Mursi last week. Since then, supporters and opponents of the move have clashed across Egypt, and on Monday at least 55 people were killed when soldiers opened fire near the Cairo barracks where Mursi was believed to be held.
